Works well with the optional sensor. Would like to have 1/400 speed and a way to export the results.
If you buy the photo plug optical interface this app works accurately. However, it is cumbersome to use as you have to input the desired shutter speed each and every time. Just checking any single lens or camera is a very slow process. It would be great if the developer would update the software to allow more automated measurements. A direct readout of the measured shutter speed would make this very competitive , for which I would be willing to pay as much as $20.
Works pretty good, would be nice to have a 1/400 speed option available for my large format shutters
Its trash app not recommended
Doesn't work anymore.
Helps you measure shutter speed by recording sound. You then pick the opening and closing moments on the waveform and the app tells you the time between. Gives an idea if your shutters are accurate or way off. I use a lot of older cameras 1890s to 1960s and find this useful. However, no documentation or instructions.
Does the job testing 1/125 speeds on my old SLRs. Just try to get the peak when the opening curtain opens and the closing courtain closes. I needed to keep the mirror locked up during measuring. Check other reviews for more insights. Great app!
No intructions
You need the adapter...DUH! Got mine from CatLabs
Incredibly simple, and works, if you READ THE DESCRIPTION. It's only meant for ***under 1/30 with sound only***, above that requires an optical sensor. No, it doesn't have detailed instructions, it doesn't really need them. The whole app is like three buttons and two sliders, pinch to zoom, very intuitive if you've ever used an app. Negative reviews are mind boggling. I feel bad for the developer having to deal with so many idiots!
